Cookie Policy
Information about cookies, analytics and marketing tools and how consent is managed on itholding.pl.
Last updated: 15 August 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on itholding.pl.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small pieces of information stored on or read from a user’s device when the website is used.
Cookies and similar technologies may be used to:
- ensure the website works correctly
- remember user choices
- analyse how the website is used
- measure the effectiveness of website activities
- support advertising activities
Not all cookies require user consent.
Mechanisms that are strictly necessary to provide the service or perform a function explicitly requested by the user may operate without consent to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Other optional mechanisms are activated according to the user’s chosen preferences.
2. Categories used on the website
We use three main categories.
Essential
Required for the website to operate correctly, maintain security or remember settings selected by the user.
They cannot be disabled through our cookie-settings panel where their use is necessary to provide the requested service.
Analytics
Analytics mechanisms may be used to:
- create statistics
- analyse traffic
- identify traffic sources
- understand how the website is used
- evaluate the effectiveness of website improvements
This category may include, in particular:
- Google Analytics 4
- Matomo Analytics
These tools do not have to be active at the same time.
Marketing
Marketing mechanisms may be used to:
- measure advertising performance
- measure conversions
- remarketing
- create audiences
- personalise advertising activities
This category may include, in particular:
- Google Ads
- Meta Pixel
Marketing tools may be activated depending on the campaigns being run.
3. Our consent-management mechanism
The website uses its own cookie-consent mechanism: IT Holding Consent.
To remember the user’s choice, the website uses the following first-party cookie:
- Name:
ith_consent - Category: Essential
- Purpose: to remember the user’s cookie-consent preferences
- Retention: up to 180 days
The consent cookie is not used to create a marketing profile of the user.
It does not contain information submitted through the contact form, such as name, email address or phone number.
4. Before a user makes a choice
Before a user makes a consent choice:
- Essential functionality may operate
- Analytics remains disabled
- Marketing remains disabled
- Optional analytics and marketing tags should not be activated
For Google services, the default consent state is:
analytics_storage= deniedad_storage= deniedad_user_data= deniedad_personalization= denied
5. Google Tag Manager
The website uses Google Tag Manager to manage tags technically.
The currently configured container is:
GTM-NDLG45W
Google Tag Manager acts as a technical layer.
Whether a particular tool is classified as Analytics or Marketing depends on the type of tag being activated through GTM.
Depending on the current configuration, GTM may be used to activate, among other tools:
- Google Analytics 4
- Google Ads
- Meta Pixel
- other tools consistent with the current website configuration
Not all of these tools need to be active.
6. Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics 4 may be used to measure how the website is used.
It can provide information about:
- number of visits
- traffic sources
- pages visited
- how long and how the website is used
- events and conversions configured by the administrator
When Google Analytics is active, we treat it as an Analytics-category tool and activate it according to the user’s consent choice.
7. Matomo Analytics
Matomo Analytics may be used as an additional or alternative analytics platform.
The cookies and data used depend on its configuration.
If Matomo uses optional analytics mechanisms that require consent, they are activated only after consent to the Analytics category has been provided.
8. Google Ads
Google Ads may be used for:
- conversion measurement;
- campaign-performance measurement;
- remarketing;
- audience creation;
- advertising personalisation.
Google Ads marketing mechanisms may be activated only after the relevant Marketing consent has been provided.
9. Meta Pixel
Meta Pixel may be used in the future for:
- conversion measurement
- measurement of Meta advertising performance
- audience creation
- remarketing
- campaign optimisation
We treat Meta Pixel as a Marketing tool and it should not be activated before the relevant user consent has been provided.
10. Google Search Console
Google Search Console is used to monitor the website’s presence in Google, including:
- indexing
- visibility in search results
- search queries
- technical status of the website’s presence in Google
We do not treat Google Search Console as an Analytics or Marketing cookie mechanism operating within the user’s browser.
11. Accepting all categories
When the user selects:
“Accept all”
they allow activation of:
- Analytics
- Marketing
For Google services, this may update consent states to:
analytics_storage= grantedad_storage= grantedad_user_data= grantedad_personalization= granted
The tools that actually become active depend on the current website configuration and GTM container configuration.
12. Rejecting optional cookies
When the user selects:
“Reject optional cookies”
- Essential mechanisms remain available
- Analytics remains disabled
- Marketing remains disabled
For Google services, the relevant states remain:
analytics_storage= deniedad_storage= deniedad_user_data= deniedad_personalization= denied
13. Custom settings
Users can make separate decisions for:
- Analytics
- Marketing
For example, a user may consent to Analytics while refusing Marketing.
Cookie preferences can be reopened at any time using the:
Cookie settings
link in the website footer.
Changes apply to future processing.
14. Changing or withdrawing consent
Users can change their previous consent decision at any time.
After preferences are changed, the website updates the stored consent state.
If an external script has already been loaded, changing consent may not physically remove it from the memory of the currently open page.
The new consent state, however, should be respected for subsequent operations of the consent mechanism.
The user may also refresh the page after changing preferences.
15. Browser settings
Cookies can also be:
- viewed
- deleted
- blocked
using the settings of the browser being used.
Blocking all cookies completely may affect some website functionality.
16. Third-party providers
Where the relevant consent has been provided, third-party tools may communicate with their providers’ servers and may use their own cookies or similar identifiers.
This may apply, in particular, to services provided by:
- Meta
- the Matomo provider, where an externally hosted Matomo service is used
The actual mechanisms used depend on the current configuration of those services.
17. Not all listed tools are always active
This policy also describes tools that may be introduced as the website and our marketing activities develop.
The fact that this policy mentions:
- Google Analytics 4
- Matomo
- Google Ads
- Meta Pixel
does not necessarily mean that all of these tools are active at the same time.
The website configuration may change over time.
Optional mechanisms that require consent should respect the choice made through Cookie settings.
18. Changes to this Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy may be updated, in particular, when there is a change to:
- analytics tools
- advertising tools
- GTM configuration
- the IT Holding Consent mechanism
- consent-retention period
- applicable legal requirements
The current version is available at:
